Southeastern Utah is full of unforgettable scenery, and natural and geologic wonders. Rafting offers a unique vantage point from which to experience the towering canyon walls and Precambrian rock formations which surround the Colorado River. Enjoy serene sections through the Ruby-Horsethief Canyons, drifting along at the river’s leisurely pace, and high adventure through Westwater Canyon’s colorfully named rapids such as Little Hummer, Funnel Falls, Last Chance and the famous Skull Rapid where the Colorado River careens through the ancient, polished black and pink stone of the Precambrian era.

The Festival’s signature events, the Grotto Concerts, celebrate music in concert with the landscape™ by combining the beauty of music with the area’s scenic wonders. A relaxing 45-minute jet boat ride down the Colorado River brings you to “nature’s own concert hall” (The New York Times), a pristine, acoustically perfect wilderness grotto carved from the surrounding red rock walls. Sit up close in chairs provided by MMF or up above in the Grotto’s “box seats” where the sound blooms around you.
