Classical music is heard in historic Star Hall in downtown Moab. Shostakovich’s frenetic work for eight strings was inspired by Mendelssohn’s incomparable Octet which anchors this program. Continuing the homage, Beethoven’s music opens the concert with movements from one of his works for cello and piano, and the virtuosic ”Rage Over a Lost Penny” for solo piano.

Located in the center of Moab, Star Hall’s intimate size, perfect acoustics and charming 1906 architecture make it an ideal setting for chamber music.
