Congratulations to the winners of MMF’s Colorado River Commissioning Project!
The Moab Music Festival’s 2023 and 2024 seasons are exploring the region’s relationship with the Colorado River water corridor. The Colorado River runs directly through Moab and is an integral part of the city, region, and music festival. Out of a national applicant pool of composers with Utah ties, MMF selected two composers, Maya Miro Johnson and Roydon Tse, to write new chamber works inspired by the Colorado River.
Sponsored in part by MMF’s Commissioning Club, Maya Miro Johnson and Roydon Tse’s works will premiere at the Colorado Currents concert, Saturday, August 31, 2024 at Red Cliffs Lodge.
