Jet-boat down the Colorado River through spectacular red rock canyons to “nature’s own concert hall” (The New York Times)—a pristine, acoustically perfect wilderness grotto carved from the surrounding red rocks—to hear performances by the Festival’s world-class artists.

There is nothing more transcendent than  hearing (or playing) the music of J.S. Bach in the Grotto. While most of his compositions were written for the church, those  without any religious text sound as joyful and full of faith as those praising God. Juxtaposed with spirituals from southern slaves, Bach’s music joins the music of hope and deliverance from oppression.

Light hors d’oeuvres and wine will be served at a reception with the artists, followed by a glorious boat ride home.
