American Violinist Robert McDuffie, personally commissioned Philip Glass for his Violin Concerto No. 2, and subsequently premiered and recorded the work. Described as ’the American Vivaldi,” Glass has made a chamber version for McDuffie. This concert pairs it with nuevo tango master Astor Piazzolla’s “Four Seasons of Buenos Aires,” each season being performed by a different violinist in this performance.
