Celebrate the holidays with the Moab Music Festival and a special solo piano performance of Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker Suite and other holiday works performed by Ilya Ramlav.

Hailed as a pianist of “refined seriousness,” Ilya appears frequently in solo and chamber recitals all over the world. Since attending his first concert as a child in Moscow, he has dedicated his life to the communication of joy and light through music. Ilya captured the world’s attention after winning the prestigious 2018 All-Russian Music Competition. Since then, his musical journey has known no bounds, with captivating performances in New York, Sao Paulo, Paris, and Buenos Aires. His musical finesse has earned him top honors in esteemed competitions, including the 2019 Tucumań International Piano Competition in Argentina, the 2019 International Piano Competition Alieva in Switzerland, and the 2013 Jean Françaix International Piano Competition in France. 

With scholarships from the US President at the New School in New York and the Chopin Foundation in Zurich, Ilya has graced the stages of major orchestras worldwide, including those in Switzerland, Russia, Argentina, Uruguay, and the USA. His enthralling live performances have been featured on the National Classical Radio of Argentina and NRK television. Educationally, Ilya’s journey has taken him from the Moscow State P.I. Tchaikovsky Conservatory for his BA to the University of Arts in Bern, Switzerland for his MA, and finally to The New School Mannes College of Music for his PSD in New York City, where he continues to inspire with his extraordinary talent.
