With Arches National Park just around the Colorado River bend, violinist Aubree Oliverson sets the scene with Kevin Puts’ aptly titled Arches echoing off Moab’s towering red rocks walls. Cellist Mark Votapek joins for the rhythmically driven melodies of Czech composer Erwin Schulhoff’s Duo for violin and cello. The rigor of these two works contrast with Hot House West Quartet’s sizzling mixture of hot jazz with a western twist.

About the venue: A reception with hors d’oeuvres, beer, wine and cocktails (two per ticket) starts our adventure. Board an open-air boat for a leisurely ride on the Colorado River, surrounded by majestic, towering red cliffs.
