A close look at American minimalism from the 1930s to the present. What captured the musical imagination of the previous generation of composers and how has the minimalist movement left its mark on today’s young composers? The program is anchored by pianist-composer Timo Andres, including the world premiere of his new quartet, commissioned by MMF.
