Jet-boat down the Colorado River through spectacular red rock canyons to “nature’s own concert hall” (The New York Times)—a pristine, acoustically perfect wilderness grotto carved from the surrounding red rocks—to hear performances by the Festival’s world-class artists.

The MMF joins  the world-wide celebration of Beethoven’s 250th year with this program featuring his infamous Symphony No. 5, paired with some of Mozart’s heavenly music for piano four-hands. As an homage, legendary pianist Franz Liszt brilliantly transcribed all of Beethoven’s immensely popular symphonies for his own instrument. Virtuoso pianist Michael Brown performs this devilishly-difficult version of the celebrated symphony in the splendid surroundings of the Grotto.

Light hors d’oeuvres and wine will be served at a reception with the artists, followed by a glorious boat ride home.
