Musical Story Hour 

A Moab Music Festival and Grand County Public Library Collaboration

The Moab Music Festival and Grand County Public Library are excited to continue their new collaborative "Musical Story Hour" with the third event of the series on Saturday, July 14 at 10:30 am. These family-friendly events introduce young children, with their parents, to a wide variety of musical instruments, sounds, and genres. The July 14th event features local musicians Miriam Graham on concertina and Marty Durlin on accordion. Miriam and Marty will share live musical demonstrations as Moab Music Festival Education Outreach Coordinator, Erin Groves reads "squeeze box" themed children's books. Library staff will lead music-themed crafts. Story time takes place at the Grand County Public Library in Moab at 257 E Center St. All events start at 10:30 am and are FREE to attend.

April Artists: Our second Musical Story Hour on Saturday, April 14 featured local musicians, Casey Lawson, trumpet, and Bobby Hollahan, trombone. Both members of the Fiery Furnace Marching Band, Bobby and Casey shared their love of brass instruments through live musical demonstrations and brass-themed children’s books, concluding with a marching band parade around the library.
