Sarah Larsen

Sarah Larsen made her Metropolitan Opera debut in the 2016-2017 season in Richard Eyre’s production of Werther and has maintained a strong relationship with the company, joining them for productions of Les Contes d’Hoffmann, Cendrillon, Rusalka, and most recently in Parsfial with Music Director Yannick Nézet-Séguin. Ms. Larsen returns to the company in the 2018-2019 season for Das Rheingold and Götterdämmerung in Robert Lepage’s Ring Cycle. In the same season, Ms. Larsen returns to Virginia Opera as Donna Elvira in Don Giovanni and makes her Tangelwood Festival debut as Paquette in Candide. She also makes her Calgary Opera debut as Jan in Joby Talbot’s Everest, a role which marked her debut with Lyric Opera of Kansas City. An alumna of the Seattle Opera Young Artist Program, Ms. Larsen has appeared with the company as Komponist in Ariadne auf Naxos, Hänsel in Hänsel und Gretel, Suzuki in Madama Butterfly, and Maddalena in Rigoletto, among others. Other recent engagements include her Arizona Opera debut as Donna Elvira, Suzuki at The Berkshire Opera Festival, Mercédès in Carmen for her Santa Fe Opera debut, Prince Orlofsky in Die Fledermaus and Stéphano in Roméo et Juliette with Des Moines Metro Opera, and Neris in Medea with The Glimmerglass Festival.
